The staff at Mullins High School is starting off the new school year with a bang. Not only do we have the mental and physical health of the students in mind, but with the staff as well. The goal is to get into better habits and not just cutting out the “bad” stuff. Mrs. Lauren Hasty really got the ball rolling and set the bar high when she completed a virtual marathon of 22.2 miles. What really caught Mrs. Hasty’s eye about this marathon was not the miles that she would have to walk/run, but the big shiny medal that she received at the end! This virtual race was based on the famous Edgar Allen Poe. A lot of the miles that she walked was completed by her steps in the classroom, through the halls, and helping at our first football game! She is on track to complete a 55 mile race where she will be receiving a medal based off of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven. Congratulations to Mrs. Hasty on completing her marathon and good luck to the staff!
